At Kids' Space Child Advocacy Center, we understand that the journey of healing for child abuse victims and their non-offending caregivers is both critical and complex. To ensure we meet their needs effectively, we utilize anonymous online surveys administered to both families and children. This approach allows us to gather valuable feedback on our services, ensuring that we are responsive to their experiences and concerns.

Facilitating Healing for Children and Caregivers
Our primary goal is to support children and caregivers in their journey towards healing from the trauma of child abuse. We aim to provide essential resources that empower caregivers to create a nurturing environment for the child's recovery.
100% Caregivers reported staff provided resources to support their child(ren) and respond to their needs in the days and weeks ahead.
Crisis Intervention and Mental Health Services
Families facing the aftermath of abuse often feel isolated and overwhelmed, but our holistic approach addresses immediate needs while fostering long-term resilience. Through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, children and adults receiving services at Kids' Space exhibit:
• reduced trauma symptoms by an average of 23.5%
• decreased signs of generalized anxiety disorder by 57%
• lowered depression symptoms by 65%
Child-Centered Approach
At Kids' Space, we prioritize the emotional well-being of our young clients. Our advocates greet children upon their arrival and are the last friendly faces they see as they leave. This continuity of care helps build trust and provides a sense of security for children during a challenging time.
• 100% Reported that center staff provided a positive experience and indicated they didn’t need any additional support for themselves or their children at the time of their initial visit.
Educational Workshops and Training
By facilitating educational programs for children, families and community stakeholders, we aim to raise awareness about child abuse and prevention strategies. These workshops empower participants with knowledge and resources to better support affected families, fostering a community-wide commitment to child safety.

Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration
Our collaborative approach involves a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that works seamlessly to address the unique needs of each child and family. By combining the expertise of law enforcement, mental health professionals, and social services, we ensure a coordinated and comprehensive response to child abuse cases.
